Infection control is more than just a practice in hospitals—it is a cornerstone of public health that affects our daily lives. Healthcare facilities implement strict infection control protocols to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors. Standard precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, masks, and gowns, help minimize the risk of transmission. Isolation procedures for patients with contagious infections, such as tuberculosis or influenza, prevent pathogens from spreading to vulnerable populations.
